The town of Ocean Falls

Ocean Falls was a mill town and an important supply stop for the commercial fishing fleet on the central coast. A one store company town with no road access, the arrival of the fishing fleet meant empty shelves until the next boat. For fishermen it meant some welcome shore time. The woman on the left in this photograph is Mercy Brown.
